The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established facility protocols. This role involves providing training and consultation to personnel who perform X-rays throughout Accordia, assessing and validating staff competency, and ensuring adherence to established imaging standards and protocols. The technologist will operate the Optos retinal imaging system, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, and assist providers with ultrasound and other diagnostic procedures as needed. Additionally, the role includes assisting with orthopedic care, ensuring proper patient identification, positioning, and radiation safety, maintaining accurate patient records in the EMR, and ensuring imaging equipment and rooms are clean and ready for patient care. The position also involves completing Environment of Care responsibilities, monitoring logs, performing compliance and safety checks, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, and adhering to infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and facility safety policies. The technologist will perform Point of Care tests within their license, participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide emergency care, and demonstrate the ability to recognize and deescalate crisis situations. Clerical duties such as making copies and faxing documents are also part of the role, along with adhering to professional ethics and customer service guidelines.
