About The Position

Montclair Breast Center (MBC) is seeking a full-time or part-time X-Ray Technician to provide clear images to physicians through bone density scanning. The technician follows physicians’ instructions, explains procedures to patients, selects software options and imaging parameters on the Bone Density machine, and maintains records of reports. The role calls for strong communication and interpersonal skills, sensitivity to patients’ needs, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to train on densitometry is noted.

Responsibilities

Explain the bone density procedure to patients.
Ask all safety questions and ensure consent forms are signed before scanning.
Position patients properly to capture clear images.
Maneuver and position Bone Density equipment to capture the correct images.
Monitor patients during scanning and maintain patient records.
Monitor Bone Density equipment functions.
Ensure images are clear so physicians can provide accurate diagnoses.
Clean and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep X-ray equipment operating smoothly.
Perform quality assurance as needed.
