About The Position

As an LMRT/NCT/X-Ray Technician, you will perform various patient care duties and prepare patients for X-rays and laboratory procedures. This role involves working as a team with other LMRT/NCT/Lab technicians to ensure timely patient processing, providing high-quality customer service, and maintaining medical equipment according to OSHA guidelines. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent Required.
NCT or LMRT required.
Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
Follow organization and OSHA safety rules and procedures.
Uphold HIPAA/PHI regulations.
Be punctual and dependable for assigned shifts.
Sit, stand, walk, and/or move up to 8 hours per day.
Lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

1+ years' experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
CPR certification preferred.
Experience with ATHENA EMR.

Responsibilities

Work as a team with other NCT/Lab technicians to ensure patients are processed in a timely manner and according to the organization's protocol and procedures.
Verify patient identity and ensure all orders are placed in the EMR/EHR systems before the procedure begins.
Ensure a high degree of customer service is practiced with each patient.
Assist patients in dressing for exams and attend to their physical wellbeing during the exam and procedure process.
Complete blood draws as efficiently as possible.
Collect specimens in the proper container based on the test that was ordered.
Educate patients and families regarding the plan of treatment or procedure.
Obtain lab samples and completely fill out lab slips and other forms, when necessary.
Follow universal precautions to protect self and patients.
Stock procedure rooms with supplies.
Take responsibility for medical equipment cleaning, quality control, and sterilization in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
Assist in the lab by performing blood draws.
Relate to the public regardless of racial, ethnic, and economic status.
Promote and believe in providing quality healthcare services and education to the community in a convenient and compassionate manner.
May perform other duties as assigned.
