This role performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. This is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider. The position requires the ability to perform provider-ordered radiographic examinations for specific anatomical parts allowed by obtained licensure, conduct proper patient positioning, immobilization, and utilize appropriate radiation protection. The technician determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors which safeguard the patient, x-ray tube, and equipment, and reports any malfunction to their supervisor. This role also assists in medical documentation and clinical assistant duties as directed and supervised by the Provider. The technician participates in promoting a positive culture and teamwork, demonstrates excellence in care, and maintains a safe and supportive environment. The role may require travel to other facilities or adjusting work hours to meet patient care needs. Additionally, the technician may perform cross-functional duties, including front desk tasks like registration, scheduling, answering phones, and other duties such as scribing and ordering supplies.
