About The Position

A busy orthopedic practice is seeking qualified X-ray Technicians to prepare patients for radiological procedures and obtain diagnostic radiographs requested by providers. The role includes maintaining radiology equipment and documenting daily quality control while following applicable patient-care, safety, and workplace standards. The ideal candidate is courteous, intelligent, hard-working, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with previous orthopedic experience.

Requirements

• Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program and a valid license.
• Knowledge of medical practice, terminology, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to use sound logic and professional judgment and act calmly during emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and nonverbally.
• Knowledge of digital imaging.
• Previous orthopedic experience.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of electronic health records; eClinicalWorks and Epic are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays according to established patient-care and safety procedures.
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by providers.
• Ensure equipment is in good working condition and complies with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of the shift.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
