About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Applied Science or a similar field required.
  • Completion of approved Radiologic Technology course by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with data entry operations.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong financial emphasis.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Insurance processing experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiologic procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure the proper radiological diagnosis of patients.
  • Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions.
  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
  • Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Responsible for maintaining required educational hours to meet licensing requirements.
  • Follows radiation protection guidelines and utilizes appropriate shielding devices.
  • Ensures equipment is in good working order and reports equipment malfunction to management.
  • Performs various clerical duties including the filing of x-ray reports and maintenance of accurate log journals, etc.
  • Maintains and stocks procedure rooms.
  • Orders supplies as needed.
  • Abides by OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintains patient and practice confidentiality.
  • Maintains professional demeanor at all times with patients, caregivers, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
