About The Position
This position is PRN and located in Moss Bluff, LA. The X-Ray Tech ensures that patient, referring physician, and radiologist needs are met. All duties are performed in an efficient manner and in compliance with regulations. The role involves performing X-ray procedures, logging patients and exams, assisting receptionists, and monitoring equipment performance. Additionally, the X-Ray Tech calls patients the day before their procedure to remind them of their appointment, confirms location, duration, necessary prep instructions, and answers any questions.
Requirements
- Louisiana State Rad Tech license.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that patient, referring physician, and radiologist needs are met.
- Ensure that all duties are performed in an efficient manner and in compliance with regulations.
- Perform X-ray procedures.
- Log patients and exams performed each day.
- Assist receptionists as needed.
- Monitor equipment performance and notifies the supervisor of any repair assistance needed.
- Call patients a day before their procedure to remind them of their appointment. Make sure the patient knows where to go, how long it will take, necessary prep instructions, and answers any questions.
