About The Position

Premier Radiology, a practice of Radiology Partners (RP), is seeking an X-Ray Tech to join their team in the Greater Nashville, TN area. This role involves providing healthcare services by applying x-ray energy to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients using radio/fluoroscopic procedures. The X-Ray Tech will perform medical imaging techniques and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation or intervention by a licensed practitioner. The position is in an outpatient setting, offering a true work-life balance with no on-call shifts or overnights. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a radiology program at an accredited school
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
  • State licensure, where required
  • BCLS required
  • Competency in venipuncture, aseptic technique, universal precautions and documentation, contrast administration, and use of power injector

Responsibilities

  • Performs and documents all radiographic examinations with proficiency, ensuring proper patient positioning, appropriate technique selection, and correct use of digital systems including RIS and Synapse/PACS.
  • Verifies patient identity, reviews requisitions and chart orders, and records complete patient history in accordance with ACR standards and departmental policies prior to each procedure.
  • Applies radiation safety protocols and adjusts technical factors based on patient anatomy, while ensuring proper anatomical identification and orientation on all images.
  • Conducts quality assurance and control activities in compliance with ACR, State Department of Health Services, and other credentialing requirements, utilizing modality QA reports to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintains a safe, organized work environment by assessing patient conditions, applying appropriate support/restraining devices, managing supply inventory, and demonstrating professional, courteous behavior with patients, physicians, and colleagues at all times.
