About The Position

This role involves assisting registered X-ray technologists with various aspects of patient care and examinations. Responsibilities include patient transport, preparing and displaying X-ray exams, assisting with patient positioning, and performing basic X-ray exams under supervision. Clerical duties such as EMR ordering, importing external exams, managing the PACs system, and preparing CDs for patients are also part of the role. The position requires excellent patient communication, the ability to work effectively in a team, and flexibility to travel to satellite offices. A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Requirements

HS Diploma/GED required
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
Outstanding organizational, verbal, and writing skills
Independent, self-starting, and highly motivated
Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude and work history

Nice To Haves

Minimum one-year full time clinical experience in healthcare preferred

Responsibilities

Transporting patients to and from the department
Displaying x-ray exams to be performed on the digital system
Displaying completed x-ray exams in patient rooms
Help with positioning patients with mobility issues
Performing basic x-ray exams under the supervision of a registered tech after sufficient on-the-job training and/or competencies
Basic triage/exam ordering in the EMR system
Importing exams from outside CDs to the PACs system
Clearing "extenders" from PACs system
Burning CDs for patients / other facilities
Assist other team members as needed
Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires
Friendly and Professional patient communication when escorting patients to and from exam rooms and during x-ray exam
