The Radiologic Technologist provides information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. This role involves establishing rapport with patients, ensuring equipment functionality through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, managing inventory of radiology supplies, and staying current with legal and professional requirements. The technologist also maintains a safe and clean work environment, prepares patients for procedures by positioning them and adjusting equipment, minimizes radiation exposure to patients and staff, adheres to infection control protocols, ensures the quality of radiographs, documents patient care, and contributes to team efforts. Performs other duties as assigned.
