About The Position

The Laboratory/X-Ray Technologist works under general supervision to perform laboratory and X-ray procedures that involve a high degree of independent judgment. The role includes preparing and maintaining laboratory and X-ray equipment and supplies, tracking inventory and product expiration dates, completing ABN waivers as needed, and performing end-of-day equipment shutdown procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training.
• Current phlebotomy certification.
• X-ray technologists must be licensed by the state of Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment, X-ray supplies, and equipment for daily operation, including turning on equipment and computers and retrieving chemicals and reagents.
• Inventory laboratory and X-ray supplies to ensure sufficient quantities are available.
• Check expiration dates of chemicals and replace expired products.
• Complete and obtain ABN waivers as needed.
• Perform end-of-day equipment shutdown procedures, such as general cleaning, flushing lines, and disassembly.
