Requirements
- Master's degree in a human service field and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- All positions require screening through the Florida Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Responsibilities
- Selects foster children for whom child specific and targeted recruitment will be required
- Designs and carries out a community recruitment campaign using media, public awareness activities and presentations
- Participates in community adoption activities
- Responds to adoption inquiry calls received on designated Wendy's Wonderful Kids 1-800 line
- Ensures identified children are registered on Florida's internet adoption exchange and Hillsborough Kids, Inc.'s adoption website
- Establishes relationships with child and care manager to ensure appropriate interventions are provided to prepare child for adoption and engagement in recruitment process
- Refers waiting children and recruited families to appropriate supportive services that enhance recruitment effort
- Provides monthly statistical reports to supervisor
