Requirements

• Completed LMW 310 Theory and Teaching of Writing to be eligible for Writing Center positions
• Excellent communicators with strong writing and interpersonal skills
• Patient, curious, and committed to inclusive, student-centered support
• Interested in education, writing, editing, or peer mentoring
• Excited to grow as a tutor, team member, and campus leader

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with students at any stage of the writing process—from brainstorming to final revisions—across a range of academic subjects and assignments.
• Support operations, mentor consultants, and assist with training, scheduling, and outreach initiatives to grow writing support services on campus.
• Provide in-depth writing support for graduate students, including guidance on research writing, capstones, and discipline-specific formatting and conventions.
