The American Heart Association has an exciting opportunity for a Writer, Website Content and Optimization to join our Content and Channel Strategy Team. This is a full-time, 12-month temporary contract position with the flexibility to work remotely. This role blends website content development, audience-centered writing, UX content formatting, and content optimization. The Writer, Website Content and Optimization helps shape how audiences experience digital content by creating, updating, and refining website content that is clear, useful, discoverable, and aligned with audience needs. You'll work across a variety of teams and subject areas, developing new website content and improving existing content to support organizational priorities, programs, products, campaigns, and health information. A significant focus of this role is helping evolve and maintain the organization's digital experience by supporting website content migration efforts, optimizing existing content, and ensuring content follows established discoverability, voice, tone, and audience experience standards. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys translating complex information into intuitive digital experiences, understands how audiences find and consume content online, and knows how to create content that helps people quickly find, understand, and act on the information they need.
