About The Position

Xavier University is seeking a Writer/Content Producer to generate stories and create written content for all of Xavier’s marketing and communication channels. This role involves working with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to highlight the Xavier experience and engage the community. The Writer/Content Producer will create marketing content for traditional print, web, email, advertising, and social media. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, creatively share the Xavier experience, and contribute to the planning, creation, and editing of marketing and advertising efforts in both print and digital formats. A working knowledge of digital marketing tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite, is important. The role aims to persuade audiences to act, be engaged, or continue their support for Xavier, thereby shaping Xavier’s brand narrative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 1 – 3 Years’ Experience
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing tools including the Adobe Creative Suite, social media channels, marketing automation platforms, and tools to update web pages.

Responsibilities

  • Generate all forms of written marketing content, contributing to the planning, creation, and editing of marketing and advertising efforts in print and digital formats for Xavier’s website, print materials, video scripts, social media, and advertising.
  • Ensure editorial standards are followed in all areas of story-writing and communications, checking for correct style, grammar, and strong writing to maintain reader interest and inspire connection with Xavier.
  • Support other Content Producers by reviewing content to ensure consistency.
  • Occasionally lead projects that are content-driven, collaborating with multi-functional teams within and external to the marketing and communications office.
