Requirements

  • Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship or three (3) years experience as an electrician.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • EEI MASS test administered.
  • Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.
  • Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.
  • This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.
  • Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair WRF electrical systems.
  • Support activities of other WRF teams and external customers to ensure overall team success.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting control systems to find root cause of problem.
  • Minimize the areas of the plant equipment affected and downtime while making repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Work around energized equipment (up to 13.8 kV), hazardous chemicals, temperature extremes, heights and confined spaces.
  • Attend and complete scheduled technical training.
