About The Position
ADESA, a Carvana owned company, is seeking a Wrecker Rollback Driver to join their Transportation/Logistics team. This role is responsible for the pickup and delivery of customer vehicles using a 2 car rollback or wrecker. ADESA operates over 50 locations across the US, providing a wide array of vehicle services. They foster a "we" versus "I" culture and are experiencing significant growth and investment. This position reports to the Operations Manager or a designated manager. The ideal candidate will prioritize safe driving, maintain a clean driving record, and effectively communicate with team members and customers. Responsibilities include completing condition reports and all related paperwork, inspecting the vehicle for maintenance and safety, and ensuring good teamwork.
Requirements
- High School or GED required
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Must be able to drive vehicles with either standard or automatic transmissions
- Must have Tow Endorsement
- Must have a current DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and a background check
- Previous DOT driving experience
- Previous experience operating a 2 car rollback
- Effective customer relations, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver customer vehicles
- Load and unload customer vehicles
- Prioritize safe driving and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Carvana’s Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver Qualification Policy. Consistent, and safe driving is crucial for this role.
- Complete condition reports and complete paperwork related to the pick up and delivery of the vehicle
- Communicate with customers to verify vehicle information and condition of vehicles
- Maintain good flow of communication with all team members and practice good teamwork
- Inspect the wrecker or rollback to ensure the vehicle maintains good maintenance and safe driving conditions
