About The Position

This position involves preparing items for storage or shipment by applying appropriate wrapping materials, securing items, and ensuring protection from corrosion or damage. The role requires checking part numbers and quantities against documentation, placing items in specified containers, and applying labels and tags. Additionally, the position may involve stenciling or marking containers and maintaining required records.

Requirements

• One year qualifying wrapping and packing experience.
• Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

• Prepares items for storage or shipment by properly applying suitable or standardized wrapping material and securely tying, binding, or otherwise fastening and/or enclosing the specific items.
• Cleans and immerses items in solvents and cleaners, and preserves them by applying oils, greases, waxes, and other preservatives when required to protect items from corrosion or damage.
• Checks and reconciles part numbers, quantities, and type with shipping tags and packing sheets to ensure correctness.
• Cushions as required and places completed items in the proper container as specified.
• Applies necessary labels, tags, etc.
• May be assigned to cut and apply stencils or otherwise mark crates, boxes, cartons, and other containers.
• Maintains records as required.
