About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Packer-1st Shift at our Dallas, TX facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Packer – Decon Support team member is responsible for supporting deconsolidation operations, ensuring a seamless shift transition, and preparing work areas, trailers, and documentation for the third-shift team. This role also provides operational support in container unloading as business needs require. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work across multiple functions to support operational efficiency. All new hires in hourly positions are placed in a 90-day Introductory period addressing safety, conduct, attendance, quality, and productivity after which they will be evaluated for continued employment.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
  • Minimum 6 Months experience with Forklift/ Cherry picker /Reach Truck with prior forklift certification.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and twist while performing warehouse and packing duties.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and heavier loads with assistance or material-handling equipment or team lift.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and scanners, when trained and authorized.
  • Ability to climb in and out of trailers and work in varying warehouse and trailer conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to maintain visual awareness and spatial judgment to safely navigate around equipment, trailers, product, and team members.
  • Ability to work overtime, flexible schedules, and support different operational areas as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a new or partially loaded trailer is positioned at the dock door and ready for the third-shift team before the end of the shift.
  • Complete any partially loaded trailer when only a few rows remain, recognizing that third shift will not have yard driver support available.
  • Verify that all completed work is accurately documented and communicated during shift handoff.
  • Prepare and provide an accurate pass-down tally sheet reflecting all quantities completed during the shift.
  • Create additional tally sheets and packing lists for the third-shift team, ensuring all related purchase orders (POs) are attached and organized.
  • Communicate outstanding issues, priorities, and operational status to the incoming team.
  • Ensure the conveyor belt and surrounding work area are clear, organized, and ready for the next shift.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Willingness to flex between Decon and other departments based on business needs.
  • Assist with unloading containers and handling materials.
