About The Position

Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, facilitates the development of individualized Wraparound Plans with families of children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) through the Wraparound process. Assists families in identifying and accessing resources, clinical treatments, and other services to promote the child/youth functioning successfully in the home, school and community; performs services as part of a Child and Family Team and in coordination with a wide variety of agencies and community supports including DHS, Family Court, and the schools; Performs services primarily in the home and community; performs related work as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
  • Michigan Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential, Clinical.
  • Will consider a candidate with a Limited License as a Bachelor’s Level Social Worker (LLBSW) credential, Clinical.
  • One (1) year of experience working with children, adolescents and their families in a clinical setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (defined as Counseling/Guidance or Psychology)
  • Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential.
  • One (1) year experience working with children, adolescents and their families in a clinical setting.
  • Must complete DCH Wraparound Training.
  • Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours.
  • Complete and pass CAFAS/PECFAS training sustaining reliable rater status for assessment instruments.

Nice To Haves

  • The employee with a Limited License must take and pass the ASWB Examination within six (6) years in accordance with the State of Michigan requirements to retain employment.
  • Employee must maintain valid licensure to retain employment.
