About The Position

The Wraparound Therapist coordinates services and planning for children referred through social service, probation, or mental health departments, assisting them in transitioning from institutional to family or family-like settings. Services are primarily provided in community settings such as families’ homes, group homes, foster homes, and schools. The core responsibility is to ensure all parties collaborate effectively to achieve stability for the child and family. Wraparound Therapists build meaningful relationships with clients, fostering a safe, predictable, and positive environment that respects clients’ values and cultures. Seneca's "Wraparound" services are strengths-based, family-driven, flexible, and creative, aiming to help families develop skills and supports to prevent or reduce out-of-home placement. A family-based team, including family members, Seneca's Therapists, Youth Counselors, Parent Partners, Facilitators, and other community members, addresses the needs of the entire family. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work/psychology/counseling.
  • Registered with California BBS: ASW, AMFT, APCC, or full licensed
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assessment and evaluation process, including full clinical assessment and assigning a diagnosis, of clients in order to develop and implement the care plan.
  • Provide individual and/or family therapy as needed and determined through the assessment process.
  • Promptly meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to further treatment goals utilizing culturally informed and best practice modalities.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams for the purpose of care planning and support.
  • Collaborate with agency staff, caregivers, other professionals and interested parties to formulate and implement individual client care plans, behavioral programs, and interventions.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community members and providers, as needed.
  • Provide assistance in case planning and consultation to team members on clinical issues, as well as casework issues, as appropriate.
  • Chart mental health notes, care plans, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain availability for crisis intervention services, such as on-call rotation, if applicable.
  • Participate in individual and/or group supervision.
  • Comply with all child abuse reporting and Medicaid/Medi-Cal requirements in accordance with standards set by Seneca.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and business operations information.
  • Commit to and engage in self-evaluation as well as organizational goals, strategies, and systemic practices regarding diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's EQ-4 model training.
