About The Position

Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. As a Wraparound Facilitator in the WRAP department you will provide education and assistance in navigating the child serving systems (child welfare, education, behavioral/mental health, juvenile justice, school, primary care, etc.). A typical day as a Wrap Facilitator will include supporting others working with the youth to understand youth culture, assist the youth to understand and express their needs, goals and decisions, role model effective behavior for the youth to show a pattern of having healthy relationships with others; showing positive and healthy responses to stress and conflict, and demonstrating positive social skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must meet designation as a Qualified Professional in NC.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in.
  • All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
  • Position requires mobility in the counties served (Mecklenburg, Stanly, Union, and Cabarrus counties), remote work, and occasional commute to the office.
