Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
  • A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
  • Certification in wound care not required upon hire but must receive wound certification within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct nursing services while ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies.
  • Make staffing assignments, encourage professional development, and review documentation for quality and accuracy.
  • Oversee resident assessments, ensure adequate supplies, and address grievances with timely reporting to the Director of Nursing.
  • Provide wound care on assigned residents, in accordance with physician orders, following manufacturer recommendations and appropriate techniques.
