About The Position

Avalon Care Center Federal Way is committed to providing exceptional skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in a caring, resident-focused environment. We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Wound Nurse LPN to help lead our skin management and wound care program while making a direct impact on resident outcomes. In this role, you'll work closely with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote healing, improve quality of life, and ensure residents receive the highest level of care.

Requirements

• Current Washington LPN license
• Knowledge of infection control and nursing best practices
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
• Ability to adapt to changing resident and facility needs

Nice To Haves

• Experience in wound care, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the facility's wound care and skin management program
• Develop and update resident care plans with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor wound healing progress and implement appropriate interventions
• Educate residents, families, and staff on wound care and prevention strategies
• Transcribe and follow physician orders accurately
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality care standards are met
