Requirements

The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
High School or GED Equivalent or 1-3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Casts and assists with wound vac placement and removal.
Transfers patients to wheelchairs and stretchers using mechanical lifts.
Rooms patients.
Answers call lights, prepares patients for treatment, and assists with room turnover.
Transports patients to other areas of the hospital as directed.
Assists with inventory, supply order, entering data into tracking systems, and preparing educational materials.
Assists in end of day cleaning and transporting equipment to centralized sterilization.
