About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care Deaconess Illinois Medical Center | Full-Time | Days Compensation: $31.25 - $46.88/hour Make a Difference Through Specialized Wound Care At Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, our Wound Care team plays a vital role in helping patients heal and improve their quality of life. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Red Cross BLS certification upon hire

Nice To Haves

Wound Care Certification
ACLS certification within 30 days of employment
At least one year of clinical nursing experience
Knowledge of wound care products, treatments, and procedures

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
Perform wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and advanced wound therapies
Utilize specialized treatments such as Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
Educate patients and families on wound management, prevention, and healing strategies
Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes
Promote quality, safety, and best practices in wound care
