About The Position

This is a full-time, day position with flexible scheduling 7 days per week. Nurses needed for weekday and weekend assignments. NO EVENING OR OVERNIGHT! The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Nurse (LVN) is responsible for the organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care using hospital and nursing standards. The Registered Nurse or Licensed Nurse must demonstrate proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contribute to the nursing assessment and care plan and participate in the evaluation of nursing care.

Requirements

  • RN/LVN with current Texas License
  • Current BLS/CPRcertification from American Heart Association
  • 3+ years of Management experience
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Exceptional Time Management skills
  • Good Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • Customer Service oriented with a focus on patient satisfaction
  • SEDENTARY WORK: Prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10-lbs. force occasionally
  • LIGHT WORK: Exert up to 20-lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10-lbs. frequently
  • MEDIUM WORK: Exert up to 50-lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20-lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10-lbs. constantly

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management for patients.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA and company policies and procedures
  • Provide specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management.
  • Act as a patient advocate in delivery and coordination of patient care.
  • Provide the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
  • Provide efficient and effective care with the guidance of the physician during clinic sessions.
  • Attending clinics at which are scheduled, prompt and efficient with minimal absences.
  • Managing multiple patients at the same time with high energy and organization.
  • Collaborating with other health care Providers, wound care center Physicians, Program Director and Medical Director, regarding clinic and patient needs.
  • Effectively communicating with others, both verbally and written.
  • Monitoring the Cases of patients for whom the Nurse is responsible.
  • Completes other duties as assigned
