About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring physicians of any specialty to provide wound care and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across Inland Empire, California. The role focuses on treating chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds in skilled nursing and post-acute settings, using surgical and sharp debridement, bedside procedures, advanced dressings, and specialized wound protocols. Training is provided, and prior wound care or procedural experience is not required. The position offers clinical autonomy, the opportunity to follow patients through healing, and custom documentation software intended to reduce administrative time. It is available full-time or part-time, with weekday schedules and no nights, weekends, or call. Full-time compensation is listed as $250,000–$500,000 per year; the posting also describes per-patient and per-procedure pay, quarterly bonus programs, and uncapped earnings as an independent contractor.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
Physicians from any specialty are welcome.
Completed residency and board certification or eligibility are not required.
Previous wound care or procedural experience is not required; comprehensive wound care training is provided.
Candidates must complete confidential pre-employment DiSC testing and relevant skills testing.

Responsibilities

Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
Use advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
Provide collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patients through healing.
Lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the Inland Empire.
