Wound Care Nurse - RN - Full Time

About The Position

RestorixHealth is seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse to plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process and evidence-based practice. The RN works collaboratively with other disciplines on the assigned unit, prioritizes nursing actions, and accurately implements physician orders within appropriate time frames. The role includes recognizing changes in patients’ conditions and intervening appropriately, as well as educating and counseling patients and families about wound care. Training is provided.

Requirements

Associate degree in nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for Magnet Hospitals.
Valid Registered Nursing license.
Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with wound care patients; training is provided.
Prior experience with billing and coding is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice.
Recognize changes in a patient’s condition and intervene appropriately.
Prioritize nursing actions based on patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues.
