About The Position

Luxury Senior Living Communities is looking for a Wound Care Nurse for its Palace Nursing Home & Rehab Center in Miami, FL. The #1 priority of this position is overseeing the skin care for all residents in the center. The nurse is to review prevention and treatment needs and make appropriate recommendations to the physician.

Requirements

• Current Florida LPN or RN license
• Wound care experience is required.
• Must have Wound care certification.
• Basic math skills required.
• Responsible, energetic, punctual, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented.
• Flexible as to work schedule.
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
• Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the skin care for all residents in the center.
• Reviewing prevention and treatment needs and make appropriate recommendations to the physician.
• Initiating preventative measures to minimize the potential for skin breakdown.
• Providing comprehensive wound management including reducing causative factors, assessing nutritional needs, and providing and applying topical therapies as per physician’s orders within the scope of practice.
• Educating the patient, family and staff on skin alteration prevention and treatment.
• Notifying and collaborating with the DON on any issues or concerns as they arise.
