About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital - Central Indiana Muncie Campus is seeking a full-time Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to join their team. This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and the opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives. AMG is an employee-owned company (ESOP) offering competitive pay and benefits. The Wound Care Nurse will evaluate and treat in/outpatient wounds, provide direct and indirect patient care in an acute care setting, communicate with physicians and co-workers about patient conditions, and perform general nursing duties with supervision. While Wound Care certification and experience are preferred, the company offers training.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Indiana RN or LPN Licensure in good standing.
BLS Certification
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Wound Care certification and experience preferred.
ACLS Certification

Responsibilities

Evaluates new and existing in/out patient's wound.
Monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures.
Provide direct and indirect patient care in the acute care setting.
Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment.
Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
