About The Position

Are you passionate about improving patient outcomes through expert wound, skin, and ostomy care? At Holy Cross Health, we are looking for a skilled Wound Care Nurse (RN) who brings both clinical expertise and compassionate care to our interdisciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in assessing, planning, and delivering care that promotes healing and supports our mission of service to the community. This role involves conducting comprehensive wound, skin, and ostomy assessments across all age groups, developing and implementing individualized plans of care based on clinical findings, and providing education to patients, families, and staff regarding wound prevention and management. The Wound Care Nurse will also collaborate with physicians, providers, and healthcare team members to coordinate optimal patient care, support the mission of Holy Cross Health and Trinity Health, delivering care with compassion and excellence, and deliver care with sensitivity to the unique physical and psychosocial needs of patients, from neonates to geriatric populations.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred). Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
• WOCN (Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing) Certification required
• At least one year of Wound Care nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with patient handling and movement
• Proficiency in English: reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
