This position is 24-32 flex hours per week, working day shifts from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA.

Requirements

Current certification in one of the following: Nursing Assistant/Aide or Medical Assistant.
BLS certification is required.
Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent is required.
Must have successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant/Aide program.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare setting or related medical office or clinic practice is preferred.
National third- party certification is required for medical assistants within 13 months of hire.
Prior experience with an electronic medical record and/or health related computer software is preferred.
Customer service experience or training preferred.
Fluency in a language other than English is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of clinic duties related to providing assistance to nursing staff in carrying out wound care treatments and medical office tasks related to ongoing department functions.
