About The Position

Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps and guest groups by delivering quality worship experiences through music in a variety of camp settings and by running a variety of programmed activities and activity sites to serve campers and guests.

Requirements

  • Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them
  • Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions.
  • Willing and teachable attitude
  • Musical talent and experience playing with a band or leading worship.
  • Own your own instrument.
  • Team-based mindset
  • Minimum age 17 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Lifeguard Certification (training available)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Help run camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence
  • Complete staff training and follow all camp policies
  • Stay spiritually and physically fit to minister
  • Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds
  • Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Lead or assist in leading worship for campers entering 2nd - 12th grades, staff, and families in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments often multiple times per day.
  • Engage in all aspects of being a member of the worship team.
  • Strive for excellence in your musicianship
  • Help plan and prepare media elements
  • Understand the technology and systems that allow worship to happen in our various spaces
  • Assist in maintaining the audiovisual equipment and inventory associated with the worship spaces
  • Obey and enforce all camp rules and policies
  • Run activity sites according to Grace procedures including (but not limited to): Target Sports, Waterfront, High Adventure, Outdoor activities, Cooperatives and Teambuilding
  • Attend all staff meetings
  • Assist with housekeeping: cleaning buildings to meet standards of excellence
  • Host Meals: set-up, manage, and communicate to campers and guests
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)
