About The Position

Baptist Search Partners is excited to partner with First Baptist Church Leesburg to find their next Worship Pastor-Village Park Campus. This position’s focus is on leading and shaping the worship ministry at this campus. This role is designed for a collaborative leader who will serve as part of a multi-site staff team. The Worship Ministry Team is directed by the church’s Senior Worship Pastor who coordinates all aspects of this ministry department across their four campuses. The leader desired is one that is relationally engaging, deeply passionate about guiding congregations in worship, has experience rehearsing choirs, and is comfortable leading worship from an instrument. This leader would affirm and model First Baptist Church Leesburg’s vision to be “A light to our community, and a launching pad to the nations.” The vision for this role is to lead individuals and families to build their lives on the practice of honoring God through lifelong worship. This would be expressed in connecting homes to God’s Word, the community of believers at First Baptist Church Leesburg, and investing in meaningful opportunities of service. This leader would strive to empower the generations to engage the lost with the gospel both locally and globally. First Baptist Church Leesburg is a four campus multi-site church in Lake County, Florida. Their campuses are in Downtown Leesburg, Oxford, Howey-in-the-Hills (South Campus), and Fruitland Park (Village Park Campus). Each location has live music and preaching weekly. Their worship services are intentionally designed to accommodate a blend of contemporary songs, psalms, and classic hymns. Through it all, the singular focus of First Baptist Church Leesburg remains on glorifying God and lifting the name of Jesus. The Village Park Campus is located on the edge of The Villages, which is the largest retirement community in the US. First Baptist Church Leesburg is a pastor-led and deacon-served church. Pastor Cliff Lea has served FBCL for nearly 20 years. The church is known in the community for being welcoming, friendly, focused on worshipping the Lord, connected to Him and other believers, and engaged with the lost in Leesburg and beyond. They are a multigenerational church with a mix of young families and retirees. A unique partnership that was started by FBC Leesburg is its Christian Care Center (CCC). CCC was founded in 1985 with a vision and mission of “Meeting Needs and Sharing Christ” in Leesburg, Lake County and the surrounding areas. Today, the CCC is comprised of seven different ministries as well as the Community Medical Care Center (a medical partnership with Leesburg Regional Medical Center). This ministry extension of the church has solidified a place in Lake County where the gospel is changing lives on a regular basis. The Worship Pastor for the Village Park Campus is responsible for worship leadership and overseeing the choir, instrumentalists, vocal leaders, and the production team.
