About The Position

The Youth Worship Intern role will work alongside the Worship Director and Student Lead to oversee song selection, team scheduling, and service flow for all Youth Group gatherings. They will specifically invest in the students on the youth worship team; discipling them in their relationship with Jesus, and building them in their musical skills. While leading worship with the youth ministry as their main focus, they will gain opportunities to lead, plan and grow with Salt and Sunday Morning Gatherings. All Interns will actively pursue and live out Cottage Grove Church’s values: Loving our Neighbors, Living as a Diverse Kingdom Family, Equipping To Go, Being Spirit Empowered, and Extending God’s blessings.

Requirements

College students are expected to serve as Salt Leader in addition to internship hours.
Humble and Servant attitudes.

Nice To Haves

Experience in worship leading.
Musical skills.

Knowledge of Cottage Grove Church values.

Responsibilities

Oversee song selection, team scheduling, and service flow for all Youth Group gatherings.
Invest in students on the youth worship team, discipling them in their relationship with Jesus and building their musical skills.
Lead worship with the youth ministry.
Gain opportunities to lead, plan, and grow with Salt and Sunday Morning Gatherings.
Lead with students 3x month.
Lead in a different venue at least 1x/month.
Work with worship director/student lead to schedule teams/plan sets for students.
Join in additional creative/planning with Worship Staff.
Meet with Worship Director weekly, going over experience/reading material learnings.
Rotate with Cottage Grove Directors for additional Cottage Grove Value training.
Build skills conducive to the job.
Intentionally identify one or more person to pour into and raise up as a leader.
