About The Position

The Worship Arts Coordinator serves as a key leader of the Mount Pleasant Campus ministry team, providing leadership and support in the worship ministry. This role exists to create irresistible, distraction-free worship environments, helping to fulfill the church’s mission of leading people into a focused life of Jesus Christ. The Worship Arts Coordinator implements the vision, strategy, and direction for worship at the Mount Pleasant Campus in alignment with the overall mission and vision set by the Lead Pastor and Director of Worship Arts. This role helps cultivate a consistent and unified worship experience that reflects the mission of Community Church. The Worship Arts Coordinator serves as the champion for worship at the Campus and demonstrates a high level of skill, commitment, and effectiveness in their ministry area. They deliver consistent, high-quality experiences that reflect the overall vision of Community Church. Our staff is committed to building healthy, capable teams by identifying, equipping, and empowering both staff and volunteers. Worship Arts Coordinator plays a vital role in cultivating and developing volunteer leaders at the campus level through ongoing support, clear communication, and intentional discipleship. Effective ministry requires intentional organization and faithful stewardship. Worship Arts Coordinators support the day-to-day administrative needs of the worship ministry at their local campus, ensuring their ministry efforts are organized, efficient, and aligned with church-wide systems.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Excellent people management skills both with staff and volunteers.
• Experience in ministry in a medium to large church setting.
• An engaging communicator with a strong biblical and theological background.
• A self-motivated leader possessing relational skills with staff, volunteers and congregation.
• Experience in leading and developing worship consisting of musicians and instrumentalists.
• Familiarity with required technology that supports the worship ministry including Planning Center Online, Ableton, Vista Pro, etc.
• Basic proficiency with Google Workspace applications (Google Docs, Google Sheets)
• Basic proficiency with database software (Community Church to provide training).
• Undergraduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model Biblical Priorities: Lead by example in spiritual maturity, character, and lifestyle. Commit to a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Actively participate in the life and mission of Community Church. Demonstrate a passion for reaching people far from God. Champion unity across all ministries and teams.
• Strategic Leadership and Ministry Oversight: Foster a culture of worship at the Mount Pleasant Campus. Carry out ministry programming in alignment with the church-wide strategy. Collaborate with the Campus Pastor and Director of Worship Arts. Pursue growth as a leader.
• Core Competencies: Lead and execute weekly worship services. Demonstrate proficiency in musicianship and worship leadership. Oversee all technical and creative elements of worship services. May provide direct supervision of campus staff, assistant directors, or interns.
• Leader Recruitment and Development: Develop a leadership pipeline for recruiting, onboarding, and training volunteers. Provide regular coaching, encouragement, and feedback to leaders and team members. Foster a culture of spiritual growth, relational health, and leadership development.
• Ministry Administration: Track expenses, manage supplies, and assist with budget planning. Maintain familiarity with systems like Church Community Builder, Planning Center Online, Bill.com, BambooHR. Communicate regularly with Campus Pastor and Director of Worship Arts.
