About The Position

Apple is seeking a Worldwide Supply Demand Planner to forecast demand, inventory, and multi-channel sell-through. This role involves generating weekly and quarterly supply plans aligned with Apple's financial objectives, evaluating risks, and implementing contingency plans. The planner will analyze daily product sales, identify opportunities, and drive appropriate actions with partner groups. Key responsibilities include coordinating with regional product planning teams to meet sales requirements, working with Marketing and New Product Operations for new product introductions and transitions, and partnering with global procurement teams for component allocation, raw material inventory targets, and minimizing material obsolescence. The role also requires presenting product updates and recommendations to the Operations executive management team weekly, identifying process improvement opportunities, managing projects, and optimizing inventory strategy to meet customer needs and financial objectives. This is a 40 hours/week position.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, International Business, Operations Research, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience performing Advanced Quantitative Modeling utilizing Excel for calculating business decisions.
  • 3 years of experience analyzing large data sets to actualize past operations, assess results, and plan for future supply chain requirements.
  • 3 years of experience developing plans for strategic resources to optimize customer satisfaction while also considering financial goals and minimizing operational complexity.
  • 3 years of experience performing Scenario Analysis and Risk Management, analyzing expected outcomes of different business decisions and recommending actions to minimize business losses.
  • 3 years of experience presenting business status, risks, and recommended solutions to managers and executives.
  • 3 years of experience quantifying financial and P&L Implications of business decisions, such as those involving pricing decisions or capital expenditures.
  • 3 years of experience coordinating with multiple internal groups/teams to manage business operations and collaborate on decision making.
  • 3 years of experience managing projects or devising new models to improve business planning operations.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast demand, inventory, and multi-channel sell through.
  • Generate weekly and quarterly supply plans that meet Apple's financial objectives.
  • Evaluate risks and plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Analyze product sales on a daily basis, find opportunities and drive partner groups to appropriate action.
  • Coordinate closely with regional product planning teams to ensure supply plans meet sales requirements.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and New Product Operations teams to set launch quantities of new product introductions and to ensure smooth product transitions.
  • Partner with the global procurement teams to allocate constrained components, ensure raw material inventory targets are met, and minimize material obsolescence during product transition.
  • Present product updates and recommended actions to Operations executive management team on a weekly basis.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the product planning process, marshal resources, and drive projects to completion.
  • Manage inventory strategy to efficiently locate the supply and meet the Customer’s needs and Apple’s financial objectives.
