About The Position

The World Waterpark Zip Line Attendant is responsible for providing guests with an enjoyable and safe rope navigating experience. This role requires maintaining the highest standards of safety and security for guests using the Zip Line attraction.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to climb stairs regularly, lift and carry up to 45 lbs., and assist guests through and down from the attraction.
  • Ability to wear a harness and use the Zip Line in accordance with the manufacturer’s weight guidelines and restrictions.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain positive interactions with the public at all times.
  • Proven ability to work at heights and follow proper safety procedures.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to pass a basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a hot and humid environment and in close proximity to water and chlorine.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in positions requiring strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures is considered an asset.
  • Experience using harnesses in the workplace or for recreational purposes is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills when interacting with guests, including processing Zip Line admission transactions and taking action photos, while strictly adhering to all required training and specified safety regulations.
  • Provide guests with detailed instructions regarding the safe use of Zip Line equipment and procedures, both before and during their time on the attraction.
  • Promote additional World Waterpark attractions, services, and products, and act as a representative within the park and mall to encourage interest in the Zip Line Attraction.
  • Accurately assess guest harnesses for proper fit, enforce all guest requirements, such as weight and physical condition, for Zip Line specifications, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect all safety equipment, including harnesses, Zip Line cables, and braking devices, for deficiencies; promptly report any equipment concerns to the World Waterpark Management.
  • Physically test the Zip Line throughout each shift to identify quality issues or deficiencies.
  • Actively monitor guests using the Zip Line by maintaining proper monitoring stations, positions, and processes.
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to stressful situations involving guests, such as assisting those in distress, handling panic or conflict situations, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.
