About The Position

This position is for a World Language Teacher specializing in French. The role is a 10-month exempt position with a salary based on the EACC, U1 scale. The teacher will be responsible for planning and providing appropriate learning experiences, supervising students, monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, and communicating with students, parents, staff, and the community. The teacher will also develop instructional plans and materials, foster a positive learning environment, and strive for professional competence. Maintaining records, ensuring the proper use of equipment and facilities, and regular attendance are also key aspects of the role. The position may involve serving on committees and performing other duties as prescribed by law and policy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Meets licensure requirements as established by the Maryland State Department of Education.
Other experience as established by Maryland Law and Board of Education policy.
Knowledge of subject matter and appropriate instructional methodologies.
Evidence of exemplary human relation skills.
Evidence of exemplary organizational and planning skills.
Evidence of ability to work effectively with students, parents and staff.
