About The Position

This work-study position in the Film Studies Office involves a variety of administrative and operational tasks. Responsibilities include general office duties such as filing, mail sorting, operating the copier, managing supplies, and using software like Excel, Adobe, and Word. The role also requires monitoring and maintaining the tidiness of the office, equipment rooms, and labs. A key duty is managing film equipment, including checking items in and out, inspecting for damage, and maintaining an up-to-date inventory list. The position also entails keeping editing labs clean, stocked, and organized, as well as gathering content for the Film Studies Newsletter. Collaboration with faculty and the Marketing Communications (Marcom) department for events and productions is expected. Additionally, the role involves reporting any building issues to the Department Assistant or LPC Building Director.
