About The Position

This position requires a clearance which requires U.S. citizenship to obtain. This position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future. Position Purpose: This role is responsible for leading critical, project-level efforts, including disaster recovery and major new business contract implementations. It manages complex software installations, serves as the primary escalation point for the team, and PC imaging. The position includes receiving hardware from Inventory, building and imaging devices, installing required software, and deploying systems to end users, with daily responsibilities shifting based on workload priorities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a job-related field.
  • 2 years of technical operations support experience.
  • Able to provide consultation to IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software.
  • Able to provide on-the-spot training to users.
  • Understands operating systems imaging concepts.
  • Able to make recommendations on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements.
  • Familiarity with computer and workstation equipment.
  • U.S. citizenship required for clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in installing software remotely on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Experience with Service Now, ICD, Big-Fix.
  • Experience on PC imaging.
  • Lead large PC replacement efforts.
  • Lead Disaster recovery PC requirements, implementation and support.
  • Be a subject matter expert in the windows 11 operating system.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors/updates dispatch system and works incoming tickets as assigned.
  • Provides troubleshooting, technical support and development of end-user guidelines.
  • Configures, installs, monitors, and maintains IT users’ workstation software and hardware.
  • Ensures proper backing up of data from user workstations and that tools and equipment are licensed and approved by IS purchasing.
  • Ensures proper configuration and adherence to security configurations and settings.
  • Tests, troubleshoots, maintains, modifies, validates and documents application packages.
  • Documents configurations and standards so that colleagues can reference similar issues and improve resolution time.
  • Assists other departments as needed to resolve issues.
  • May perform administrative task such as reporting, ordering replacement parts, and tracking status/inventory of items.
  • Keeps apprised of new technologies related to workstation support procedures.
