About The Position

The Workshop Technician – III will report directly to the Workshop Supervisor. This role will provide support for the workshop floor and the operations team by assembling, testing, service, repair and preparation of Completion Tools equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Mechanical ability is necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Previous experience with industrial equipment, hand/power tools, pressure testing and measurement devices a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to follow instructions
  • Must be able to perform duties with a high degree of integrity and service quality
  • Able to work closely with fellow employees.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changing working conditions
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently at a fast pace and produce quality work
  • Ability to be organized and follow a systematic method of performing a task
  • Technical and practical knowledge of assembly/manufacturing processes
  • Proficient ability to operate and navigate the Microsoft office suite of software.
  • Ability to read & interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations as it applies to customer requirements
  • Strong technical and operational background
  • Mechanical ability necessary to perform tasks
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 45 lbs. unassisted across short distances.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position to perform daily activities.

Nice To Haves

  • technical or vocational training in manufacturing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete training plan as set out in the position within company guidelines.
  • Be able to use tools and equipment according to operating procedure or within the scope of its intended use.
  • Safely operates cranes and/or forklifts to handle material.
  • Assemble all Completion equipment correctly in a timely manner.
  • Operate Torque Machines safely.
  • Complete Documentation for all Assemblies
  • Perform tasks as delegated by the Workshop Supervisor
  • Attend workshop toolbox meetings
  • Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV
  • Maintain a clean and efficient workstation.
  • Participate in on-call rotating schedule.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of NOV.
