At JBT Marel, we are transforming the future of food and are seeking a Workshop Operations Manager for our Poultry NA division. This role is crucial for leading all workshop operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of repair, rebuild, assembly, and service activities. The successful candidate will develop and implement operational processes, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and overall operational performance. This leadership position will manage workshop personnel, drive continuous improvement, oversee resources and budgets, and ensure compliance with company standards to support business growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience managing workshop, service, manufacturing, repair, or technical operations.
Strong understanding of operational planning, quality systems, safety programs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive organizational change.
Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience with ERP systems, workshop management tools, and digital performance reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily workshop operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery objectives are achieved.
Develop and implement workshop policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and performance.
Ensure workshop resources, equipment, tools, and facilities are effectively utilized and maintained.
Coordinate with service, parts, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure seamless execution of workshop activities.
Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workshop operations, quality, productivity, and service delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve turnaround times, and increase customer satisfaction.
Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, overtime, and resource allocation to meet operational objectives.
Monitor workshop costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance while maintaining quality and service standards.
Support forecasting, capacity planning, and strategic operational initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, environmental requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the workshop.
Lead corrective and preventive action efforts to address quality and operational issues.
Recruit, develop, coach, and lead workshop personnel to achieve business and operational goals.
Implement training and development programs that build technical capability, leadership skills, and succession coverage.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.
