About The Position

This course, ENG1100 DE00, is an intensive practice in academic essay writing for the Fall 2026 semester. The emphasis will be on grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, essay organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources. Students will engage in frequent written exercises to develop their composition skills. The use of Writing Centre resources is required outside of regular class hours. The course is taught in English and is an online course scheduled for Tuesdays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, though the schedule is subject to change.

Requirements

  • Ph.D (English)
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

  • Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach ENG1100 DE00: Workshop in Essay Writing.
