About The Position

The Workplace Solutions Technician provides a world-class customer service experience to all VWFS employees and contractors in Canada and the US. This role is the primary technical resource in the Pickering office and responsible for incident management over the phone for all users. The workplace technician supports all technologies in the Workplace Technologies space which includes end user computing, collaboration, multimedia and several enterprise software packages.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Information Technology field supporting the installation, configuration and support of end user PC & Mac hardware
  • 3+ years’ experience in supporting Office 365, cloud-based systems and mobile device environment
  • CompTIA A+ OR ITIL Foundation
  • MCSA: Universal Windows Platform

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Level 2+ expert for all users in Canada, United States, and Offshore and the only in office technical resource for the Canadian office. This includes, but is not limited to all hardware, software, network, telecom, and audio/visual incidents, providing first-class support to users for incidents escalating from the helpdesk.
  • Administer M365 and identity services, including Azure AD, Exchange Online/On-Prem, and Active Roles + Microsoft Entra (accounts, mailboxes, security groups).
  • Own the Canadian endpoint ecosystem, from SCCM/MECM imaging, deployment, and maintenance to asset receiving, allocation, and off-lease compliance.
  • Drive critical workflows including onboarding/offboarding employees and maintain stringent incident/asset management via ServiceNow.
  • Create/maintain essential technical documentation and proactively develop specialized industry knowledge through continuous training.
