About The Position

Our values center on putting people first by focusing on their well-being and success, embracing a 'failing forward' mindset, and valuing collaboration across diverse groups. We aim for positive interactions and a friendly approach, striving to make a difference by delivering relevant, timely, and engaging programs. SafeCare BC is a non-profit health and safety association for BC’s continuing care sector, dedicated to reducing injuries among care workers and leaders through education, training, and resources. This role is suited for someone motivated by making a meaningful impact for healthcare workers by implementing evidence-based resources through practical, people-centered OHS services. As a small organization, we adapt quickly to meet changing member needs, requiring flexibility, curiosity, and a willingness to contribute in different ways. The OHS Services Program Coordinator will primarily support the development and implementation of psychological health and safety initiatives through data management, reporting, resource development, project coordination, and administrative support. Working closely with subject matter experts and staff, the Coordinator transforms information, evidence, and data into practical resources, reports, and tools to educate and support members in creating safer and healthier workplaces. This is a newly created position offering a unique opportunity to help shape the role and develop knowledge and skills. While previous knowledge of occupational health and safety and/or psychological health and safety is an asset, a strong interest in learning and contributing is equally important. This is currently a part-time role (0.6 FTE / 3 days a week) with potential to expand to full-time in the future. This role directly contributes to reducing workplace injuries, strengthening safety culture, and improving day-to-day working conditions for thousands of care workers across BC by translating psychological health and safety into practical, usable, and meaningful tools for frontline environments.
