About The Position

DAP has an exciting opportunity for a Production Work Leader at our Baltimore Plant! This position supports the plant's manufacturing operation by assisting the shift Production Supervisor of the packaging area. The available shift schedule is 2nd Shift (Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM). Overtime is available/required. Associates earn double-time pay for all hours worked in excess of 50 hours in your standard work week!

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior experience in a lead role or similar position directing others
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand for periods of up to 3 hours at a time
Ability to climb steps/ladders
Must wear required PPE at all times throughout the shift (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others

Responsibilities

Assists the Production Supervisor with assigning daily work and directing team members
Communicates with other departments consistently to ensure efficient workflow
Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory by proper reporting of material usage, minimizing waste, reporting any spills, and ensuring all items per case and cases per pallet counts are accurate
Maintains production logs to accurately record downtime/issues. Completes all paperwork accurately
Utilizes SAP software
Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a neat and orderly work area
Abides by all departmental and plant safety rules
Works in other areas as required by business needs
