About The Position

The Chocolate Bayou Works site is located in Southeastern Texas about 40 miles south of Houston and consists of two Olefin units that produce approximately 3bn pounds/year of ethylene, 2 Polypropylene units that produce approximately 800m pounds/ year of polypropylene, storage and transfer facilities at Stratton Ridge. The site also provides knowledge sharing support and functional guidance through relationships with the PE / PP facilities at Battleground and the Hobbs gas processing facility in New Mexico, with the headquarters located in League City, TX. The Working Team Leader would is responsible for ensuring I/E resources are scheduled and available in support of Utilities operations at Chocolate Bayou Works. The position supervises hourly I/E maintenance technicians and is jointly accountable for the coordination of safe, reliable, and cost-efficient delivery of maintenance I&E services to the business.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring I/E resources are scheduled and available in support of Utilities operations at Chocolate Bayou Works.
  • Supervising hourly I/E maintenance technicians.
  • Jointly accountable for the coordination of safe, reliable, and cost-efficient delivery of maintenance I&E services to the business.
  • Understanding and putting into practice the INEOS 20 Principles and cascading this understanding through their team.
  • Leading by example, remaining in compliance with and ensuring work group compliance with CBW SHE policies and procedures.
  • Leading the work group’s efforts in promoting and demonstrating safe behaviors through personal and team participation in SHE activities including incident investigations, HAZOP's, audits, near miss reporting, observations, housekeeping and in reviewing team and others' safety incidents and near misses.
  • Ensuring SHE delivery, compliance and self-verification processes for departmental maintenance activities.
  • Providing team support and participation in processes such as MOC and SHE procedure reviews, audits and observations.
  • Leading/coordinating monthly safety meetings covering reviews of site procedures.
  • Following up on safety issues and reporting both safety and environmental incidents in the Traction reporting system.
  • Conducting monthly Safety and Environmental Housekeeping Inspections per procedure.
  • Leading daily team reviews of all upcoming work performed per the schedule, identifying safety hazards and communicating shared learnings.
  • Leading a coordinated effort for all repair and PM activities through the shared management process.
  • Recognizing good performance of employees and initiating coaching as appropriate.
  • Coordinating maintenance services and repairs with outside contractors and vendors.
  • Ensuring contracted IE hourly personnel are scheduled and available to support unit requirements including overtime, holidays, special circumstances, etc.
  • Coordinating site manpower requirements with other WTLs.
  • Overseeing technician training and rotating jobs to ensure training and familiarity purposes.
  • Supporting unit planner with preparing job plans and attending all planning meetings.
  • Ensuring team meets work standards for quality and productivity.
  • Understanding and maintaining WTL responsibilities and unit maintenance requirements consistent with retaining ISO-9002 and ISO-14001 certification.
  • Working familiarity with the operation and repair of various I/E equipment and instrumentation.
  • Reviewing Repairable Report from storehouse and providing feedback to storehouse on issues raised.
  • Coordinating review of IE job packages for maintenance concerns.
  • Troubleshooting equipment problems and initiating reliability improvements.
  • Identifying and implementing recommendations that will reduce maintenance spending without compromising SHE performance or unit productivity.
  • Supporting planner in creating job plans for work associated with unit and furnace shutdowns.
  • Expediting equipment required to make repairs as needed outside of normal planning channels.
  • Supporting planning and scheduling processes by preparing job plans and attending all planning meetings.
