About The Position

The Working Supervisor, 3rd Shift is responsible for supervising and training staff and ensuring that work is completed in an efficient and effective manner. This position will assist as needed in completion of work assignments by staff. The Working Supervisor, 3rd Shift will write and issue work orders in School Dude as appropriate, maintain adequate inventory of supplies and will requisition supplies/materials on a monthly basis, and provides training for new staff members. This position will routinely inspect work areas of her teams and building leads to ensure appropriate cleanliness is maintained at all times, fills in for absent employees, and attends leader and building meetings with the Director of Building Services. The Working Supervisor, 3rd Shift coordinates with the Director of Building Services in scheduling overtime for employees, completes work orders as appropriate, including malfunctioning of cleaning equipment and submits these to the Director of Building Services, and Dispenses and monitors the use of cleaning supplies.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a work force
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in building services or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relation skills
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to effectively perform all heavy building attendant duties
  • Ability to climb ladders to reach high places
  • Ability to move heavy furniture
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment and mop extensive areas
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must not require visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Classroom or seminar training in supervisory skills
  • Five (5) years related work experience as well as supervisory experience
